Admixtures

Cemdisper MP

Cem Disper MP is a high performance superplasticzer admixture based on modified polycarboxylic ether. This is developed to enhance water retention in the concrete. This product serves pretty well for Ready Mix Plants who opts to transit long distances or for projects which need longer dumping time. This product solves the problem in avoiding to add more more water to maintain the water retention in the concrete. It is chloride free & low in alkali. It is compatible with all types of cements.

Uses

Cemdisper MP is used to

  • To produce high strength & cohesion concrete.
  • To produce high strength, high grade concrete @ M25 to M30 & above by substantial reduction in water resulting in low permeability and high early strength.
  • No excessive air traps in the concrete and improved surface finish.
  • To produce high workability concrete requiring low or no vibration during application.
  • To produce good quality concrete of improved durability and water tightness.

Advantages

  1. Improved workability - reduces placing time and compaction problems.
  2. Minimizes segregation and bleeding problems by improving cohesion.
  3. Increased strength - Provides high early strength for precast concrete with the advantage of higher water reduction in the mix.
  4. Improved quality - More dense, close textured concrete with reduced porosity and hence more durable.

Application Instructions

Dosage
The optimum dosage is best determined by onsite trials with the concrete mix which enables the effects of workability, strength gain or cement reduction to be measured. Site trials with Cemdisper MP should always be compared with mix containing no admixture. As a guide, the rate of addition is generally in the range of 0.5 - 2L/100kg cement.

Over dosing
An overdose of double the recommended amount of Cemdisper MP, will result in very high workability and some retardation of setting time will occur. However, the ultimate compressive strength will not be achieved.

Setting Time
Although, the setting time is dependant on the dosage of Cemdisper MP, the following factors should be considered at the time of preparing concrete.

  • Retardation is increased with lower levels of tri-calcium in the cement.
  • Lower temperatures will delay the setting time.
  • SRC cement gives higher retardation level than ordinary cement.
  • Using more than one type of admixture in the same concrete mix could affect the setting time.
  • Retardation level is increased when cement replacement materials are used in the concrete mix.

Packaging

Cemdisper MP: 20kg and 240kg drums.

Cleaning

All tools and equipment should be washed immediately with fresh water to remove left out slurry completely. And dried slurry can be removed mechanically.

Why Cemdisper MP?

Compatibility: Can be used with all types of cements except high alumina cement.

Cemdisper MP is compatible with other types of Clov’s admixtures when added separately to the mix. Site trials should be carried out to optimize dosages. Workability: Can be used to produce flowing concrete that requires no compaction.

Some minor adjustments may be required to produce high workable mix without segregation.

Cohesion: Cohesion is improved due to dispersion of cement particles thus minimizing segregation and improving surface finish. Compressive strength: Early strength is increased up to 20% if water reduction is taken advantage of.

Generally, there is improvement in strength up to 20% depending upon W/C ratio and other mix parameters.

Durability: Reduction in W/C ratio enables increase in density and impermeability, thus enhancing durability of concrete.
